After careful planning, Aqua Pros was able to give the homeowners an appealing lap pool and a hot water therapy spa.

The tough part was placing the pool. A crane was used to transport the pool from the home’s front street, over the home and into the backyard. Once the pool was in place, the finishing touches were added to create a complete pool package.

The lap pool and spa combo features multi-colored fiber-optic lighting , remote-controlled valving for convenient use, and stamped concrete decking to accent the pool area.

Situated on Tampa Bay, with a backyard view of the St. Petersburg skyline, this multilevel deck home required a truly unique pool installation.

With little available space for a more traditional pool design, the homeowners opted to incorporate a pool in the lower-level deck of the home.

The 80-by-40-fooot, 8,500-gallon lap pool allows homeowners ample room for exercise. The attached spa is the perfect place to relax and sooth aching muscles and to simply enjoy the view.

When family members aren't swimming laps, they can rest or observe from underwater benches in any of the pool's four corners. The attached spa, which also has ample seating, provides another relaxing respite. It also has a 6-inch aerobic step for stretching and muscle-toning exercises.

Surrounding the pool and spa is a band of cantilevered stamped concrete, which is framed by a decorative slate.

At night, fiber-optic lighting in the pool and spa sets the scene aglow and allows for late evening workouts.

While exhibiting at a recent home and garden show, a couple stopped by expressing interest in a pool, but they only has 12 feet of backyard space. Indiana Pool Co. was happy to oblige.

Measuring only 8 feet wide but 40 feet long, the couple now have what they desired, and then some.

With woods in their backyard, an automatic pool cover was installed to keep out debris.

In the evening, fiber-optic lighting provides a dramatic view illuminating both the pool and spa.
